HoCoPoLitSo is pulling together a collection of poems related to Ellicott City and its history to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the mill town. A printed booklet featuring the collection will be distributed for free at upcoming celebrations, and poetry posters are being produced for the windows of Main Street. A reading in June will celebrate the project, which will feature poetry by Rita Dove, Emily Dickinson, Henry David Thoreau, Sterling Brown, Lucille Clifton, and Laura Shovan. For more information, or for your work to be considered, please email Susan Thornton Hobby, susanthobby@gmail.com.
