Submit Your Work to LPR’s Winter 2025 Issue

Seasoned writers, poetry lovers, and LPR community we are excited to announce that our editors are now taking submissions for our new winter issue through October 15th. Whether you are finally open to sharing your work, or you are ready to share your newest literary works, LPR is excited to read, edit and publish your creative masterpieces.

What does it mean to publish with LPR? It means garnering community in a passion where it is difficult to find one. Working with an editor who can help you refine your favorite work. Sharing what you are proud of with the LPR community. Or amplifying your voice and creating space for your thoughts to exist in the world.

LPR is taking submissions for poetry, fiction, and essay/ creative non-fiction pieces. Submit your work for review here. Or learn more about submitting here.

Our editors always suggest looking back at submissions and published pieces. Take a look at the past summer issue’s Preet Bhela,”Hollows” for an idea on poetry. The last two stanzas leave an impactful feeling that unifies the poetry yet also leaves you with an everlasting image.

“and the moon has grown

tender from witnessing

all the bodies

leaving their bodies

behind.”

Kate Powell Shine’s, “Infringed: A Second Amendment Erasure” is visual in its meaning and takes on the second amendment in a new approach. It is hard not to read the short work over and over again as every time you do, there is resounding truth in the words used within the controversial amendment. The words shake you into feeling in a world where the right to bear arms is desensitized.

Michael Moran’s, “I Am Lighted by Your Love and Do Not Fear the Dark” takes its reader on a journey of which Moran’s own journey through a dark tunnel was inspired. The weight of human emotions is lit up by darkness and shared by two. Connie and Thomas find themselves relieved by truths untold in the daylight of therapy and open in the darkness of a tunnel. Another visual reading, watch as the words converge throughout the story.

As you look through your own favorite fiction or essays, keep LPR in mind. Our editorial team and community can’t wait to read your published literature at the Winter launch and beyond. If you haven’t had a chance to purchase the summer ’24 issue, you can do so here with paypal.
